I'm obsessed with food and especially the imagary of food in cookbooks from the 60's. As a matter of fact, my collection of 'dirty' cookbooks is getting a bit out of hand.
Fishy jelly puddings, indefinable sauces and brightly coloured veggie shakes keep fascinating me. They form colourful and lively compositions that are both gross and very attractive to me at the same time.
Inspired by this combination of elements, I started playing around with them myself, having some fun with food. This resulted in a limited edition of colourful, four layered screenprints, for which I used neon pink, yellow, blue and turquoise ink. By overlapping these colours, the greens, orange reds and purples were created.
